Had a similar problem Rob. One channel would go missing from time to
time, when playing CD's. I removed the connections at the changer and
cleaned w/ a shot of electric motor cleaner, plugged her back up and all
is well. I've developed three primary strategies for UrS repairs:
1) Unplug connectors and spritz with electric motor cleaner -- this
seems to fix about half the problems I've encountered.
2) Wait the problem out -- quite a few problems including squeaky
climate control fan, dash bulbs that go out and, the latest, the central
dash display (CD number and track, etc.) on the fritz, seem to fix
themselves, if ignored for a couple or three days. Patience, Grasshopper.
3) Throw copius amounts of cash at the problem -- when #1 and 2 fail.
