If it is still running on 4 cylinders at idle, it sounds like it might be a
dead PSO. Check out

Hi all,
Tonight while driving home from work, my car dropped a cylinder. It would
come back intermittently, sometimes for 5 or 10 minutes. By the end of my
commute, it seemed to be gone for good.

I'm certain this is ignition related, as the raw fuel smell is apparent as
soon as the cylinder drops out. Looking for some btdt... is this generally
a
coil, a control module, or something else? I've had lots of Audis, but this
is my first distributor-less one. To top it off, I have not gotten a
Bentley
for this car yet.
Any help/advice greatly appreciated,
Dave
