Boy, you have a lot of questions. The stock I/C plumbing is fairly
restrictive(that would be one of them very technical CO Mafia terms). At one
point in time I had a Sport I/C mounted at the stock location. It was
marginally larger but did flow 20% better than stock. With an RS2 equipped
AAN Frank Amoroso's car pulled 25hp ATWNCFS(at the wheels not corrected for
snot) with the addition of the Pederhousen FMIC. The FMIC did cool the charge
air significantly but it also allowed a much freer flowing path to the
throttle body.

As far as lbs/min converting to hp, that depends on the density altitude. My
TA34/T04E 54 trim Garrett produces 585 cfm @ 2.8 pressure ratio or 48lbs/min
@ 2.8 p.r. at about 70% efficiency. This turbo is good for 520hp in its
current configuration. That gives you very close to 10hp = 1lb/min. This is
very ball park stuff and of course YMMV.

The stock injectors are rated at 280cc @ 3.0bar and the RS2 at 360cc @
3.0bar. 3.0 bar seems to be the industry standard for measuring injector
flow. The stock fuel pressure is 4.0 bar and the RS2 is 3.8 bar. This url:
http://rceng.com/ is the site for RC Engineering a fuel injector
distributor and blue printer. This site has lots of formulas to play with
injector flows in ccs and lbs.

The best solution is to talk with a turbo distributor and tell them how many
horsepower you want to make. Let them configure a turbo to your specs.
Turbocharger Engineering, TEC, was a contributor to and put on a tech session
for the 1st s-car Nationals. They are based about 15 minutes from me in
Golden CO 303-271-3997. KKK, Garrett and several other turbo companies are
now owned by the same company. As such TEC can provide any of the KKK stuff
as well as Garrett. Just with Garrett they have no fewer than 16 turbo
variants with hp ranges from 250 - 520. HTH.
