[s-cars] digital boost gauge

Anyone have experience installing the digital boost gauge made using the
LM3914 and as described here: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec42.shtml

I've finally finished creating the circuit and am considering installation
options... I'm thinking of putting the LEDs on the blank vertical panel
between the clock and the fuel gauge (what's that panel for anyways?)
Also, should I tap into the boost between the fuel pressure regulator and
the intake manifold (as they do in the biturbo) ?
