[s-cars] A6 4.2 HP improvement?

Sorry, but I thought the 4.2 (at least the 32 valve) was pretty much
optimized already, but as you say, some of the chip manufacturers do
state a pretty high gain. (MTM: the full S6+ improvement, up to 340HP,
Wetterauer and superchips: only 15hp up to 325hp.)
I guess an even more aggressive tuning is possible, also with maintained
driveability.

Lol! No, If you spend that much on your engine, and then try to save
some buck$ on juice, you're probably better off without anyway.

I know I should've added a small smiley at the end, cause I just wanted
Tim to reconsider his plans.. ;o)
Not that the 4.2 is a bad engine, not at all, and the new (5 valve, rear
camchain) is a real beauty!

Well, as they say; Engines without turbo sucks.. ;o))

Bjorn :o)

Bjorn,

I have to disagree, on high capacity/HP engines such
as the 4.2l, there are about 20-30 more HP available
on premium fuel. Furthermore, can you run a
supercharged 4.2l engine for good performance on
crappy 91 RON or 87 R+M/2 fuel? I don't think so.
