Who produces less than 10 cars per year? Perhaps something akin to
Cosworth, a firm who produces Formula-1 vehicles, plus those who build
kits (so they don't produce many 'finished' cars). It could also be a
trick proposition -- someone who will produce no cars builds less than
10 cars per year (but might have built vehicles in the past) -- or who
builds vehicles strictly for test-bedding their own technologies (but
never sell the cars).
(A) Lotus - too many cars, but is well known for supply technology to
other firms.
(B) TRW - used to build around ten, but now are up into higher
production (fifty?). Don't act as a subassembly supplier.
(C) Benvenuti - a small Italian design firm, might produce some cars,
but wouldn't be known as a supplier.
(D) Maybach (Mercedes subsidiary) - might just be under the 10 car
limit, but I know they hope to move 2k or more cars this year.
(E) Pagani - small, but vendor of subassemblies? Don't think so...
(F) Caterham - this could be it, but again, I don't know that they act
as a subassembly vendor.
(G) McLauren -- could easily supply under 10 cars, and does supply
engines to other firms for racing.
(H) Venturi - right quantities, but not a supplier as far as I know
of...
Hmmmm...
Just feeding the thoughts...
