(Start RAMBLE...)
I just recently looked up all the bills for the last few years that I spent
on my 92' (93' CAN).
Any other car I would have taken up north and SHOT it to put it out of my
misery.
It's not like I had a tremendous amount of things repaired, PS pump,
accumulator, T/STAT.
Other things like 996 conversions, exhaust system, rear brake upgrades. It
was really an eye opener.
One bill was in the 3500's... I end up thinking after that. "What the hell
am I doing".
I really need to look at selecting my parts vendors better. There IS money
to be saved there. But it's always a rush to get stuff done, I always seem
to NEED the damn car ! I guess it really is an addition that one has to come
to terms with.
I would start a spread sheet or something similar log wise, but I am afraid
of what it would tell me. I am SURE I have 10,000 into the car after I have
already paid for it.
(End RAMBLE...)
Just a short ramble, that I am sure most of us have BTDT on .

My S6 is still for sale ($12,600) but I had never heard any talk about
installing pedal covers. I have been cleaning up any/all small things that
needed attention before selling the car and I found my gas pedal cover
loose. I decided to hard-mount a set of MOMO alloy covers directly over the
stock rubber covers for a tighter fit. The steel used in the stock pedal
assemblies was fairly tough to drill thru, but the feel is much better than
the old, worn rubber covers. Our gas pedals are kinda 2 stage,
spring-loaded deals. I just bolted the new MOMO plate directly over the
spring and tightened down. Throttle response is noticeably better and for
those so inclined, heel-toe action is much better. The silver color of my
covers is a little boy-racerish but I'm sure black is available in most
brands. I've decided to sell my car and I still HAVE to spend money on it!
What is it about these things that whisper in our ears to spend just a
little more!
