No. You can swap parts, but they don't always run well together. Ditto the
screen / no screens issue. I believe opinions on the list have varied as to
whether the those trying the mod have noticed an improvement, or not.
Us'uns, being at 5200+ feet, may just be helping to bring our stock MAF's
back in "calibration" by pulling the screens. I think a having a wide band
O2 unit available may be the only good way to put fact in pursuit of fiction
on the issue. Bob Pastore's put a lot of time in on the ECU stuff &
probably has as good a handle on it as anyone.

~So Mike and Gang..are you saying that you do NOT need to purchase
~the RS2 MAF if you are going w/ the RS2 conversion (granted you
~are missing the safety screen now) but can equal the flow and ECU
~g/s readings of the RS2 by removing the screen on a stock MAF?

~Speculation is that the two units generate "slightly" different, but so far
~as I know, not quantified, electrical signals from the hot wire to the ECU.
and ....
~Different chips seem to work with either MAF. But, again speculation runs
~rampant as to whether everything is working at "optimum" levels when you
mix
~& match.
