I pulled the same stunt about two years ago on my 95 A6.
An A6 isn't quite the same as an S6, but I think it's quite
similar in this limited area.
I had mine fixed at the dealer.
I ended up having to pay about $520 to fix it.
Of that, $375 alone was to repair and paint the front bumber cover,
because it already had some scrapes on it that needed to be fixed anyway.
If your bumber cover doesn't have any scrapes you want to fix, and
isn't too badly damaged, you probably can get away with a lot less.
The remaining charges included about $100 labor and about $45 in
misc. parts (brackets, grilles, clips, pins, etc.)
