[s-cars] SS Brake line sheath?

The SS lines I got from ECS a while back (earlier this winter) came with
Earl's ends and shrink-wrap covering the braid, so no chance of grime
causing chafe. If your lines are coming from ECS as well, chances are you're
all set already. YMMV.

In reading about SS brake lines (which the good ol' UPS man is bringing with
an ECS stage 2 setup), I'm a bit concerned about road grime getting in the
braid and degrading the line.  Has anyone "sheathed" their SS lines with
some poly tubing from Home Depot or something similar to keep gunk out?
