[s-cars] SS Brake line sheath?

Just went out to my car to confirm this; my ECS stage 2 SS lines came from
ECS already with a clear plastic sheath.

In reading about SS brake lines (which the good ol' UPS man is bringing with
an ECS stage 2 setup), I'm a bit concerned about road grime getting in the
braid and degrading the line.  Has anyone "sheathed" their SS lines with
some poly tubing from Home Depot or something similar to keep gunk out?
