[s-cars] Sean's Getting Frustrated

I have to concur with Gary's statement -- I've seen leaking fuel tanks
in my days rally racing, but never on an late model Audi, in part
because of the positioning of the tank & the construction. I'd suspect
what happened was actually that the tank wasn't leaking in and of
itself, but one of the connections was, and in attempting to 'adjust'
it, the tech screwed it up (easier to blame the tank than your own
defects to the shop-boss).

The only other possibility that comes to mind is that the car itself
was in a very serious accident at some point, impacted right at the
rear door's rear edge -- which you should be able to determine by
getting under the car while it's on the lift and doing a visual
inspection for fresh welds and unexpected seams running at least a 1/4
of the width of the car.

You might be whining about not having driven your new car much during
the past 30 days, but at least you have the peace of mind that this
isn't all coming out of your pocket (warrantee!)... If you made enough
of a stink, I suspect they would give you a loaner from their lot --
you're probably just to amicable a chap to begin with :P

Cheers!
