[s-cars] yet another rim question...

Tom-
No, TT wheels are 5x100 bolt pattern, like the current A4
Golf/Jetta/Beetle.

If you like that look, you'll have to find some A6 4.2 sport package
wheels-
they are the same in appearance, but 17x8 ET35.

The hubs are the same size, you can use any wheel that will fit a A4, S4
or A6
for your car, although anything that is more than ET40 will start
looking funny on
a C4 chassis car. ET35 looks just fine. You could go ET32 or ET30 if you
don't go
too wide on tires, but that's really pushing it.

Also, if you have or plan on doing any brake upgrades, it would be
prudent to
select your wheels carefully- pretty much any wheel that will fit a
'00-'02 S4tt
or a '00-'02 A6 2.7T/4.2 will work with big brakes as a general rule (of
course
there are exceptions), but many wheels that fit A4s will not clear big
brakes.

Now Trevor and maybe some others will disagree with me, but unless
you're talking
about track use only, I don't see any performance benefit with going to
18" wheels-
245/40 or 255/40 on appropriate width 17" wheels should be fine.
