Many anti seize compounds are a bit of an insulator, or so I have been
told, this can cause your sparkplugs to overheat.  I was always told to
put a touch of oil on the threads.  I think you have the margin for ant
seize on the lug nuts but not on the spark plugs, see AC Delco's
explanation below, that follows this hypothesis,
