As one who uses the misnamed heel-toe technique subconsciously in daily
driving, I, for one, have never used the technique shown in the diagram on
the ebay page for this product. The act of actually putting one's heel on
the gas pedal while toeing the brake (or even using the ball of the foot)
seems utterly ridiculous at best, and requires quite an awkward contortion.
Heel-toe as I learned it (thank you Ms. St. James, high heels and all)
doesn't involve the heel at all.
Am I all wet, or is this a POSEUR/RICER mod? Can I get mine purple
anodized? If so, how well will they conduct heat?
I actually think our cars are set up pretty well for heel-toeing, using my
stock pedals and stock 12EEEs (you know what they say about guys with big
feet...they have an easier time matching revs!)

WRT "Heel / toe", or whatever it's called, just don't call it "camel toe"...

ANYway...

I don't recall what that pic on ebay showed (though I agree, too riceroni
for MY conservative tastes). But, from what you're describing WaveyDavey,
it sounds like the way I do it, on yeseverydownshift, all the time.

Well, sort of. Yes, toe on brake, but more outside edge of foot on gas,
something like " \ \". I *thought* I understood this way to be correct, and
the other way, something like "/ /" to be considered "goofy foot". I could
be wrong. But, it works fantabularly, for me at least, YMMV.

Oh, and my size 10s are *just* able to do it, now sans OE plastic cover.
Even with cover, it wasn't ideal pedal spacing, ala my ///M5. But worlds
better than my 2.3-16!
