[s-cars] Toyo Tires Comparisons

Hi all,
Anybody have any comments on the following tire choices available at my
friendly local tire guy:
215 / 55R-16 Toyo Proxes TPT     $580.15  vs
255 / 50 VR-16 Proxes FZ4                       $ 597.28  ?

Car is stock 95 avant.  Im leaning towards the 215/55 size as the
slightly greater height might be a smoother ride and less likely to bend
wheels here in pothole idaho. (has happened once with my stock 255 size
on Borbets)
The TPT has a 65Kmi warranty.  The FZ4 - none.
Is the 215 / 55 a noticably poorer handling tire?  Anybody with
experience on these tires?
In order of importance - No tramlining, low noise, comfort, handling,
durability.
(The car had tramlining problems with my worn out 255/50's prior to
fixing motormounts and RF strut but all subsequent driving has been on
205 snows and tramlining is gone with these tires)
