Doug,

I just bought the ECS Stage 3 from the last GP (thanks Cody). I was
going to go with the Stage 2 because I run OEM 16" wheels in the winter
on my 95 S6. Tom and Brian at ECS said I could go with the Stage 3 and
they would clear the 16" OEM. So I did and I had ECS do the
installation. I still left my snow tires on until they were installed
last weekend. Well, they clear - no problems. Even with the weights on
the inside of the wheel. So on my S6, the 322mm 993TT 2 piece rotors
fit under the OEM 16" wheels without any spacers.

And they look so good and what GREAT pedal feel. I also did the SS
lines on the rear. My 1st major mod to my S6. The next will be the
suspension as soon as my wallet recovers :-0

Taka,

Please elaborate on the 16" - did you mean very few *aftermarket* wheels

will clear ...
I'm planning ECS Stage2 under the OEM 16"

Maybe I should add to my post that I meant 17" or 18" wheels.

Very, very few 16" wheels will clear Stoptech ST-40, Porsche
996, 993tt, 996tt, Brembo 4- or 6-piston (except the Lotus-
based kits), which are the most common calipers. AP Racing
and Alcon have calipers that will clear but they're so pricey
that I haven't even considered them.

The 5 spoke wheels off the 2.7T don't fit over BIRA System 3. You need a

5 mm spacer to clear, and that doesn't give much clearance...
