I think you've prematurely ruled out the heel-toe technique... see previous
posts for further confusion  :-0

But, the hyd lines don't get near anything real hot... slave cyl install
wrong?  Possible, but it should fail any gear, cold/hot etc... so I'd say
unlikely.  Adjustment? nope... except rod length at master cyl, I believe.

IME, when used very hard... frequent shifts etc, I have experienced loss of a
firm peddle.  Not in an S4, but other Audis of the same clutch design.  This,
to me, indicates some source of heat sufficient enough to vaporize the hyd
fluid in the slave or line feeding the slave.

Just my thoughts...
