[s-cars] RS2 Exhaust Manifold cracking

I got a pretty cracked RS2 EM form Joern, and he said it was quite
common. (I trust his knowledge.) It shouldn't leak anyway, and it still
seems quite rigid, even if the cracks breaks the EM to turbo-flange in
two places. Guess when it's cracked, it's cracked, and it don't get any
worse. Anyways, as long as the cracking don't produce any flaking or
bits that might 'hit the fan', I guess there's no way the performance
could be affected.
BTW, is there any measured, confirmed, real hp-wise improvement with the
RS2 EM compared to the stock one? Should I get it honed or polished for
more effect?
