[s-cars] Bose stereo gone bad?

Well I tried Paul's advice and the radio is working fine.

The cd changer does not blow fuses now when it is plugged it in after
testing the radio.  The cd changer does not play music anymore, but does
load cd's and reads tracks. A bit of a burning electronic smell at the
changer.     Is it toast or is there something to look for?  Anyone got one
for sale?

The CD interface box and changer get their power
through this 5A fuse, so you might want to disconnect
the middle 8-pin connector on the head unit to see if the
fuse still blows. If it stops blowing, then I would suspect
a problem with the CD interface/ changer, or a short in the
wiring harness that goes to them.
