This is correct.

Some have claimed that there is a low side port under the dash by the
evaporator.  True, there is a port there are most cars, but it is not the
fabled low side port, it is used to test the evap when it is manufactured.
There is no low side service port on 134a cars.

If you want to check the status of the system, the easiest way is via the
diag codes in the ac control unit.

According to a friend of mine who is a Audi/Porsche master mechanic there is
NO low side port on the S4 AC system. The freon must be forced in with the
vehicle off, you can't top it off with a can, etc.
