[s-cars] Door Trim GP - The current information PLEASE READ! :- )

Do you have good discounts with Fed-Ex, UPS etc?? I'm sure that whoever
is supplying the dealer would have better discounts in place than the
average Joe....

Assuming they have better discounts, you could set up the program so you
didn't have to touch the merchandise at all. The biggest job would be
setting it up so the right merchandise went to the correct purchaser.
Its interesting how you can minimize logistics costs. (By day, I work
as director of logistics for a Chemical company....)

I need all bottom pieces and RF and LR mid door pieces for a 93 S4 (trim
is black). Fender pieces are OK I think...

Rich, and everyone else!

Here is a copy of a previous email I sent out with the prices:

These are not final prices as I am hoping to get an even better price
from this dealer (my contact is working on one atleast). To get this
good of a price I will have to place one order for all the pieces, paid
in advance. After the pieces come in (no dealer stocks enough of these
for a GP) they will need to be shipped out to each individual. As of now
I have not worked out the shipping, I am expecting to receive them all
and then re-ship them out. Because of these variables I do not have
final pricing yet, or expected shipping costs but am hoping to have
these answers next week.

On Monday I expect to email each of the individuals that have asked to
be on the list a request for a list of the pieces they want. I will also
give the rest of the S-car list a last chance to be a part of this GP.
After I have a final count of the trim pieces to be purchased I will be
able to work out the final price.

I recommend that everyone make their purchasing decision based on the
prices already quoted, and hope for a bigger discount. This will not be
the fastest way to get your trim, but hopefully it will be the cheapest.
Please be patient as I work to provide more information as soon as it is
available.

HTH
Chris
