[s-cars] MTM 1+ with Garrett hybrid??

Hi All,
I just installed my Garrett turbo this weekend (T3/T04E w/k26 hotside (#8)
and stage V turbine). All went smooth until the water return line decided
to blow at the block (behind EM, turbo, oil cooler,
basically_no_f'ing_room_to_reinstall w/out removing oil cooler . . .)
RS2 EM
RS2 injectors
7A exhaust cam
stock MAF
stock FPR
2Bennett MAF-to-turbo hose (crankcase breather capped off with K&N crankcase
filter).
All boost hoses are tight (very tight), but it appears that the wastegate
blows off at above 10psi boost. One can hear the turbo spool and when it
starts to really move air, it jumps so damn fast that I think the wastegate
blows too quickly, which leads me to believe that I installed the solenoid
improperly on the not-so-well-fitting 2Bennett hose. Bentley CD is not
helpful. I'm hoping this is the culprit, and that the solenoid is not
operating properly.
Here is how I have the solenoid installed: Standing in front of the car,
solenoid electrical connection on the left. Solenoid has 3 nipples. Nipple
1 (horizontal) points toward firewall and installed into MAF hose. Downward
facing nipple runs to coldside of turbo outlet. Nipple facing towards you
runs to the wastegate. Sound right?
Haven't checked for fault codes yet (no access to VAG-com).
Thoughts, anyone?
Thanks,
Ray

Subject: [s-cars] MTM 1+ with RS2 turbo
What are the List's opinions on how the car will run
or what problems could occur running MTM stage 1+ 3.0
bar chips with an RS2 Turbo and EM? (for the moment
everything else stock in engine mgmt and components
except Samco hoses and 710N DValve)
I have some custom chips programmed for the new turbo,
but they are not installed yet since I've just gotten
the turbo and EM installed this weekend. I was
planning to drive the car home tomorrow which is
roughly 100 miles from my home.
The lead mechanic at my shop, who does know the car
well, thinks it should be no problem, short of not
seeing its full potential, and after a road test with
varied throttle application he says the car runs
strong and smoothly.
