Christopher,
generally speaking that is correct. Moreover, the mirror frtom hte
A6=A4=A8 in this respect.

just keep in mind that there were two different housings available. They
are slightly different in the shape, thus their corresponding mirror
glass is different too. The edhe which is closer to the door is more
raked int the A4 housing which was later adoped by the A6. See my posts
