[s-cars] noise concern

Gang,
Just yesterday I noticed a fairly loud (could be heard over the Streisand’s
greatest hits CD) buzzing noise coming from under the console of my car,
seemingly directly under the shifter.  Only happened once.  This morning on
the way to work, I noticed it again, and found I was able to make it make
the noise by lifting my foot off of the gas under moderate acceleration.
The vibration could be felt in the shift lever.  The only thing I have done
to the car lately is change the tranny mounts, but the new mounts went in
lined-up exactly like the old ones.
Any help greatly appreciated.
