[s-cars] 93 sunroof motor drivegear-help!

I just replaced the cable and guides in my 93. The mechanic says the drive gear is worn and will strip the cable again if i use it. The gear is not sold separately. I look at my old one and it looks like enough meat on it to me.Can any one give me a caliper reading on a good drive gear to compare it to??? I would be in your debt.
