[s-cars] Eprom Programmer

I'm quite surprised no one has answered that one yet? Weren't we supposed
to have tuners on the list that would help people out? Or is such
information "top-secret" so most of the people don't touch their ECUs or
read the eproms themselves?

Anyway, you can find a cheap eprom programmer at www.batronix.com, either
as a dyi-kit or as preassembled. Otherwise, on the US-side, you can go to
www.xtronix.com. The chip types are: 27c512 for the fuel chip on the top
board and 87c257 for the boost chip on the bottom board (the one with the
pressure transducer). Usual disclaimers apply, be careful when opening the
ECU, don't use any sharp tools to remove the chips, careful if you have to
desolder them and finally, YMMV. :-)

HTH and let me know if you have more questions,

Mihnea
