Here's one memorable event sequence..

So I arrive around 11AM.. take Exit 68 and I see Paulie running toward I84=
with a sign and hammer in his hand! Said to my wife, Heidi " Whoah, that's=
Paulie .. he's supposed to be home receiving S -cars. "
Don Warren is behind me we're thinkin' "What IS he doing like that!"
I am in front trying find the house all right, I was watching for Don's tur=
n signal's to indicate where to turn next! Left the map on the server of co=
urse.

We arrive and mingle around maybe a dozen S cars, heavily mod'd A4, and glo=
ry be to Deutscheland, a Porsche GT-2 and the Ferrari F355 on the front law=
n=2E Must be Brian's stuff.

Paulie gets back to the house to greet guessts, park cars but he is heavil=
y abused due to a 3AM bedtime.
He's running around like a nut case, hosting a party, having stoccato 3 sec=
onds conversations with each new arriving owner. I figure, that's what you =
do in Conn S Fest and follow suit, making the rounds like a politician brib=
ing for votes. I find the keg. Nice!! cool and refreshing.

Then this big guy walks up an taps my shoulder, offers a firm hand shake. P=
osto says to self, "Pay attention to the guy with the vise grip handshake!"?

It's Dave Burig asking me if I can assist opening his locked 93 S4. By that=
time he had some garage monkeys employed with the door pried open seeking =
the magic elixir to release the lock. All kinds of contraptions they had, b=
ut none worked.

Poor Dave, drove all the way from Ohio, slept in a tent, and somehow, got t=
he keys locked inside. I never knew how secure the car is until you're aske=
d to do so on the spot.

Problem is Dave is getting testy, saying that window is going to meet his f=
ist or a hammer really soon. Uh Ohh!.

Then Ray Tomlinson walks up, claims to have said secret elixir in the form =
of Blue Race tape. (Not! duct tape guys, it's Ray's Blue Race Race Tape)
Dave's searching for the hammer.

Turns out the Lawyer (RayT) taught the garage guys a thing or two about for=
ced vehicle entry and lays said Race Tape over this strip of plastic, stick=
y side out, sneeks it in the door jam, wraps around the cylindrical knurle=
d knob, and somehow lifts the door lock.
Wonderful sounds emerge in the form of the Beep Beep car alarm.
Dave drops the hammer and is truly grateful.

And at this point, it's not even 12 noon boyz.
The day progressed to get even better hour by hour.

It's all good.

Note to self: "We gotta help Paulie next year, with all aspects, real and f=
inancial."

I HATE WORK !!!!!!!!!!

I sure missed one hell of an event. DAMN !!!

I am glad it all went ok, and I expect no one ending up in jail ?
Paul, you need to do this again next year, I will leave Friday morning and
not worry about work till the following Tuesday!!!

Keep the storey and photo's coming.. I can host whatever anyone needs, but I
don't have a ton of bandwidth so things will be slow.

If there is something you want posted, email me off list and I'll set up a
site.

Made it back to O-high-O last night around 9:15 p.m. in time to tuck in my
boys (Scratch and Dent).
I don't know where to start. What a solid bunch of guys. Absolutely
fantastic to put faces to so many of the email addresses. So much
inspiration from the work you guys have done to your cars. So jealous of
you New Englanders and how darned many of you are in such close proximity to
each other.
Eye candy galore. (Nice cars too!)
Ear candy as well. Repeated WOT runs up Paulie's street. I'll send the MP3
file of Uncle Bob launching the F355 to someone who can post it.
The GT2 launch changed me. That car is mindbending I tell ya'.

Nothing anyone said could have prepared me for the Pizzo experience. I
GOTTA get this guy to Ohio :-`) (pictures Will follow)

Hey, if anyone finds a key for a '93 S-4.email me off list!

HUGE thanks to Paul and Jen.

More later.
