Folks; Before I forget-
Last Friday 4:30pm I scam my sisters freshly painted black 92 S and wind
thru CT rush hour traffic.  Post Stratford things open up.  95 to 91 to
84 or something??  Hey this car runs really really well.  Pass a new A6.
Pass an M3 parkOmatic convertible who takes exception.  And then yet
another M3 parkOmatic coupe gives chase.  A6 trails I think to watch the
action.  M's pass as I'm held up in traffic but then they're held up
worse and I take Paulies exit to victory.  NIrce!
Welcome to SFest.  Man, it's a beautiful hot summers evening.
Gheeze this is a nice quiet little new England village I thinks.

Pull into PK driveway about 6:15pm to find PK with full deer in head
lights look kind a just wondering in the driveway.   We trade some love,
test the keg/s and D Burig pulls in not two minutes later.  I think he
said hello but mostly demanded beer.  Reasonable after 12 hours driving,
but he didn't have to go 55mph after all;)  Shortly thereafter, a glassy
eyed Pizzo shows up in mom's A6 2.7, proudly boasting that he's taking
it up to the Glen http://www.theglen.com/ to flog it on sunday.
PK says something about needing to do some party preparatory work, but
doesn't seem to know what it is; after all Pizzo's here WTF!  Who can
think straight now?
Mr Pizzo inquires about my sister's car and I tell him that it runs
really well IMHO but I don't think its chipped.  Apparently this is
something he must know and before I can stop him, he's pulling up floor
mats.. Low and behold the carpet is cut; the car is chipped, but with
what I
don't know.  My late bro in law must have snuk back to the planet and
put it in there...  The immaculate upgrade.
Next thing I remember is I'm painting urS signs to direct tomorrows
folks to the house. I'm also painting myself, but it's nagaro blue and I
convince myself that folks will respect that tomorrow.
Things get blurry about here but Mike "Avant/Carrera/Ducati/914/former
ski patroller" Platt from MA shows up in his 914.  Nice!  I try to
explain the probability of two guys each owning both a 95.5 avant and a
75
Carrera.
It's ten PM why is Pizzo sleeping?
Rossato and other locals show up and sorry I forget exactly who.  Pizzo
and
Burig have warped my brain and by now it's 11:30pm, Pizzo's awake and
Electric Blue closes in thirty minutes; plenty of time.
"Paul you want to put the tent up now?"  Naw.
Very important chatter of the 'over served' transpires until 3am.  Now
we
can put the tent up; Coleman 1954 edition.  I get to sleep with Pizzo.
I'm scared but Pizzo (now aka 'Cityboy') must have been more scared cuz
he
wound up sleeping in his car, which was all well and good but why did he
need the motor on?
Mr Platt sleeps out under the stars and why not?  What a guy!
Next thing I know its 7am and time for a swim in lieu of shower.  Hey
they have chlorine for this.  I feel great.
Pauls smart wife Jen is spotted removing their son from harms way to
some other place for safe keeping.  Meanwhile Paul is standing in the
garage making a staccato of monosyllabic sounds.
He's got a lot of work to do.  'Where am I going to put the Ferrari and
GT2 so no one touches?' he wonders.  But he's mostly concerned about
keeping the gawking crowd away from the PortOSan so as to not have the
wondrous sounds emanating from there offend the multitude of folks sure
to be gawking at nearby cars.
I'm still painting signs when I notice a flurry of 3 or 4 larry darryl
and darryl's trying to break into Burigs car.  Two hours later its
finally opened by Ray 'racers tape' Tomlinson, who later displays an
engine compartment with some awesome custom plumbing.  His car also
sounds just plain "untamed," but then it should since he has stolen "my"
cat delete pipe from Posto's basement;)
