Answers:
1. They are stamped (or cast) with an "8" in the inlet of the scroll, the #6
housings have a "6" here
2. What hotside? If your turbo is using the K26 hot wheel, I would clip it
10°, if you're using the stage III or V T3 hotside wheel, leave it the heck
alone, clipping isn't good for efficiency (my KKK hotside wheel is clipped
though)
3. Well then why not, go ahead and do it. Just look at the T04E coldside,
and a K24 coldside, you'll see which flows more. You need to match the
compressor to the engine using a compressor map.
4. Probably, make it yourself from Homedepot parts, or get some mandrel
bends, or pay a fabrication shop to make it. Price would range from $5 to
$500+ depending on how much work you want to do yourself.
5. Never heard of this one. High oil pressure causes smoking since the oil
gets forced past the rings. If oil pressure is in fact too high, then
putting in a restrictor would fix that.
