Hey, kid car or not, these riceboxes are fun.
I attended a meet this past weekend and I'll tell ya,
there were a lot of 20-30somethings that just got the
car because it's a fun car and easy to mess with. One
of my WRX buddies called them the musclecars of today
because you're basically taking an economy car and
getting a lot of options with it in taking it to the
next level. Think Ford Fairlane and Dodge Dart
instead of WRX and Evo.
I'd also pay attention to Subaru if you're looking for
something with some kick and some more legroom than an
Impreza. Rumor has it that the B4 RSK Legacy is
making its way here in some form or another. (Let's
hope for a high revving 2.0 flat 4 JDM STi motor)
Also, the new Forester turbo shares the same block as
the US STi (2.5L) and a lot of the same parts,
although the power rating is a bit down. Would make a
great sleeper for the wife, and at a good price
point...
As far as my car being stock...sure looks stock. :-)
