Gary, no question the first time I saw the fruit tray bolted to the back of
the evo VIII, I thought about how one explains jail time to my friends....
But, let's not forget that Pizzo *IS* a kid, an eye-talyan on at that. However,
I might agree that he is wiser than some of the more 'mature' on this list.
Why?
Cuz he reversed the thinking, and figured this out by hisself, and has total
agreement from me on how to make better bacon. One of the best "Miss Piggy's"
rolling is the audi v8. 3.6 with a chip or 4.2 stock, once this puppy is up
on cam, few turbos will leave her in a bacon roll. So, your "beater" is the
v8, and your new toy that has massive B4B potential (and a warrantee) is the
scoobie or the Evo. I know for a fact that a 4.2 v8/A8 can be had for about the
same money as the RS2 bits installed.
So, remember that Pizzo owns a v8 (the urmisspiggy) AND an EVO. Don't knock
him for it at all. And you spend the same dollars on an Evo you do on just an
RS2 conversion, there's no competition in the B4B arena. He already has room
for your family in his "other car".
I figgrd that out quite a while ago, and applaud the laddy for his decision.
Being an audi guy, I just stuck with what inspired the Evo and the STi...

I agree with you COMPLETELY Scott. A modified WRX is a freakin' bullet. I
nearly bought one, but I can't get my 14 y/o son in the back seat. (He's
6'2", 255lbs, and the fastest kid in school in the 40. Bench presses 250 already.
And loves football. And the growth spurt hasn't hit yet. But my braggart
father instincts digress)...
And it LOOKS like a kids car. I'm not ponying up my car as a super-vehicle,
no diets, a$$ as fat as ever. And if Pizzo's car ain's stock, forget it. I
am NOT delusional. I know what the WRX (STI or no) is capable of modified.
But all I know about P's EVO is he has one.
On another note, I have to say the turbo is nice for a #6 turbine housing...
