Tom, et al:

Er, yes, sorry, I sorta was leaving the part about me already having my CMG
nicely bolted up in my car out of that message. I have my reasons and it
ain't for a coffee table 8-). Guess I did start another endless Cashmere
thread. D'oh!

Anywho... the CMG from a '94 Euro 4.2 bolted right in my '95 despite having
the Pro-Con 10 provision. The DSY / EDU out of the B5 S4 does bolt in as
well, ask Elijah, "Bob DG", etc., though remember, the bell housing mounting
dowels are not the same and some MINOR effort was needed to address this.

The CMG I have (same as the one Pastore mentioned he now has FS) is great,
6th is a nice 0.68 and cruises about 550 rpm lower than 5th used to.

Others have asked why yank the 5 in the 1st place... while I do believe it
is true that one can live with the noise that I was experiencing for quite
some time, I decided to just do it now. Though, my guess is that 'card in
the spokes' sound may be shorter lived than the 'bearing whir' that I had...
YMMV.

Ok PK, you've started another endless chain letter by opening up your 5
spd. Thank goodness, it is not Cashmere or Chartreuse. Let us all
know that one 6 spd is enough ( at least, one at a time, in your case)
. :-)
