Christmas shopping? Why bother? Particularly when "Christmas" is meaningless
in your religion of choice. Shopping for gifts for the holiday of your
choice, be it Yom Kippur, Ramadan, or Kwanzaa, can take advantage of those
silly Christians, by exercising the credit cards on 24 December. Religious
persuasion matters not, particularly when almost all US holidays are
becoming Hallmark holidays, whatever their religious or nationalistic roots.
Shopping on 24 December for that 25 December holiday has all the in-person
benefits I mentioned, and one that online doesn't offer. I can't hoist one
with a friend, out of sight of SWMBO, after shopping online <g>.

That may be true, but it usually doesn't work for those of us of the Jewish
persuasion :)
Me, I shop in the comfort of my office and the convenience of my browser.
Usually free shipping and the price-competitive web is tough to beat!
Plus, I don't think Crescent City Porsche/Audi is open that late on
Christmas eve <grin>
