[s-cars] A-pillar trim removal

Hi Y'all,

According to Bentley, in order to remove the A-pillar trim piece you simply 
pop it out of three retaining clips by pulling the trim piece inward from 
the top and then just lift the bottom out.  On trying this it seems that 
popping the piece out of the retaining clips requires an inordinate amount 
of force.  Is this the correct technique?  Is it OK to use some leverage 
with a flat screwdriver or the like to accomplish the action?
