Bruce is correct on this. When you're getting that BIG boost, the turbo
is spinning a bit too fast. My 94 does this every once in a while. I
have checked all hoses in the past and found no leaks and it has done it
once since installing Samcos. I'm starting to expect the problem may be
an occasional electronic glitch -- pulling over and shutting off the
car, then restarting, cures the problem. You should pull the hoses and
check them out, if the problem repeats.
