I have had very good success resealing these hydraulic pumps.
Doing this is MUCH less expensive that installing a new replacement pump.
Have you done a leak-down test on the engine yet? If so, what percent
leakage did you see? A good cylinder should hold 95% - 98% of the pressure.
When you do a leak down test, you will be able to hear the air leaking,
either from the intake, the exhaust, or from the crankcase oil filler
depending on where the leakage is happening. If there is a head gasket
leaking you will probably have a very low percentage and you should be
able to hear it somewhere or see air bubbles in the coolant tank.
