Caveat Emptor!

The add says:


      This V8 Quattro is being sold in "as is" for parts or repair.  It
      is still drivable and runs well but will need some TLC in order to
      be registered and driven. Or it can be used for parts.  It needs
      exhaust work and the "Check Engine"  light is on.  It will need a
      good cleaning and other repairs as well.

My translation is we checked what it was going to cost to repair this
car, damn near had a heart attack, so we decided to put in on E-bay.  If
you're a wrench, this may be a great deal.   If you're going to have to
pay to have it repaired I'd bet you're upside down, before you know it.
  On the other hand, it may be a great parts car.
