[s-cars] Bad Bilsteins vs. Koni

My BilsteinHD's are just fine after about 8 months and 20,000 kilometres.
In my experience on other cars, the koni's tend to be stiffer, and damp
small suspension movements less effectively than the bilsteins.

As always, YMMV.

Subject: [s-cars] Bad Bilsteins vs. Koni

I spoke with Glen at Northern European Automotive regarding an H&R/Bilstein
suspension for my ’93 S4. He strongly recommended against Bilsteins,
stating that the ownership of Bilstein changed recently and that they have
been having quality control problems in recent shipments. Northern
European will install Bilsteins if a customer insists but will not warranty
them.

Their recommendation is to use the Koni Sport adjustables with the H&R’s
(V8 springs #29771).

Anyone have any experience with “bad” Bilsteins lately? Anyone using Koni
Sports and H&R V8 springs in their S4/6??
