Morning-

Some further poking & prodding around last night has caused me to divert my
attention from either the fan clutch or the belt tensioner as the source of
my screech / rattle.

Reached in, stopped fan, noise still there.  Manipulated tensioner with
wrench, noise still there.  Used screwdriver "stethoscope" around various
components, noise is strongest from the PS pump (steering is fine, did not
alter the sound).  Our new guess is that the noise is best heard in the PS
pump as it's "traveling" up it.  We're guessing it's the water pump.

I've never had a car where the WP failed and it emitted this type noise /
symptom, though Brian said his Quantum's made a grainy noise when it went.
My sound is very grainy when it's not screeching or rattling.

Anyone have any thoughts on my latest?  Best part is whether it's the fan
clutch, tensioner, or WP, they're covered by my blessed A___ warranty.
Gotta love that at least.
