Imagine you had a budget...Imagine you had a wife who you had to sneak aftermarket parts by her...image people not gawking in the passing lane ;-) I agree that some parts are made to be a kit..and thus I asked the question whether or not the RS2 MAF would work alone...I NOW know that it would NOT. The RS2 manifold works just fine alone..but if you are changing that why not change the turbo at the same time I guess that is the argument.

I guess I will have to build up the kit and put the parts on the shelf for when I have all the parts...some day the stock market will come back but I guess that will have to come after WWIII

Thanks for the information

Cody:

Imagine you needed new tires, would you buy just one at a time, or would you
wait until you could afford the whole set?
Imagine you needed new tools, would you buy just one socket at a time, or
would you wait until you could afford the whole set?
Imagine you needed a new suit, would you buy just the trousers, or would
you wait until you could afford the whole suit?

LET'S TRY A DIFFERENT WAY:

BOOKENDS
CANDLEHOLDERS
TITS
RS2 Modifications:

What do all these have in common? They are all part of a S-E-T!

The SW is written for a certain HW SET. If you don't match the HW and the
SW, luck is the only thing that would make the car run well.

Is it ok to run the RS2 MAF without any software changes? Any advantages
besides on-step-closer to a RS2 conversion?

Elvis - Make sure you don't put too much oil on it as it will get sucked
into the intake, coat the MAF wires and then you're on the hook for a
$300+ MAF (Or a cheaper RS2 one, hey now there's an idea...). leaning
the wires works for some, didn't for me. But make sure you put enough
oil on there to stop any loose gravel etc from finding it's way into the
engine. So what's the correct amount of oil? Who knows, but for me
it's none, noticed absolutely no power difference when I switched back
to a stock paper filter.

Good Morning Everyone,
I just got in my K&N and its waiting to be installed. I plan

on installing at 6:30am or so before I hit the road to work. Is thing a
pain to put in? I don't imagine it would be, but I haven't found my way
into the engine compartment of my 95 S6 yet.

Any things to keep in mind?

Thanks!

Elvis
