[s-cars] Brittle front bumper cover

Yesterday it was 17F here in NY (-8C for the rest of the world) when I left
for the mall.  Came out after doing the Valentine's Day shopping (a new
digital audio cable for me and cards for the wife) to find out that someone
had clipped the front bumper on the corner while pulling in/out of the
adjacent parking space.  Under normal circumstances such a "scrape" would
have simply left paint marks and, if hard enough, probably a single crack.
Not at this temperature though.  Body parts lying on the
ground......grrrrrr.  OK, report a hit & run to the police.  Eat a $500
deductible on my insurance.  Now since I've got to replace the bumper cover
(~$800 at the stealer, I believe and $300 at the body shop to R&R), are
there any options?  Euro?  Used?  Any ideas, guys.
