[s-cars] REALLY stuck sunroof

Robert;

Here's a thought - your S6 should have the auto close feature on the
sunroof. If you leave the roof open and lock the car, the roof should close
on it's own.

It may be possible that during the jumpstart, the system got "confused" and
is opening the roof instead of closing it.

It's a long shot, but try this:

Your sunroof is stuck open.
Disconnect the battery.
Move the sunroof switch to the "Open" position.
Reconnect the battery.
Try moving the sunroof switch to the "closed" position. Hopefully the roof
will close.

Like I said, it's a long shot based on the method used to reset a "confused"
alarm system.

Subject: [s-cars] REALLY stuck sunroof

My sunroof is stuck in the fully open position. I've tried to crank it
closed and it won't budge. I've replaced the rotary switch and the
problem persists. I can hear the motor clicking as if it's trying to
operate the mechanism.

Any suggestions on how to free up the mechanism, or otherwise fix the
problem would be appreciated.

FYI- the problem started when the battery had run low, and I had to jump
the battery. As soon as I started the car, the sunroof opened on its
own. I tried to close it several times, and it partially closed and
then re-opened. Finally, it stopped moving at all.
