Yes, yes, yes  -- Snow is what these cars were built for (among other
things). Drove up to see my parents with all three kids yesterday (wife's
day off). Lined them up in the back seat, 1-1/2, 3, and 7 years old. The
trip up was uneventful, 2 sleeping and 1 game-boy-zoned (the children). On
the way home, short 50 mile trip last night in 4 inches packed nicley on the
interstate and still fluffy on the secondary roads - we had a blast. Cruised
50-55 mph on the interstate, passed every other vehicle on the road. Knew
just where the traction point and break points were, plenty careful with all
the kids but WOW, what comfort! If any of the other drivers didn't look too
comfortable (driving with flashers in the middle of the road at 30 mph),
just back it down to third or even second, and blast past 'em. no problems!
Even the secondary roads, you only notice how well you're moving along when
you continually come up behind an Excursion or and Escalade that's braking
into really slight bends and doing 25 mph. Sorry, ma'am - I'm moving through
here! Took a short detour through a large parking lot to get to some Ultra
94 and really tested the handling dynamics, kids thought it was a amusement
park ride, while we threw rooster tails and blasted about. I will never own
anything but an Audi quattro! Enjoy the Snow!
