Guys
Has anybody wondered why so many speed records, FIA Group and Class, are se=
t when its hot?
There is a trade-off between cold, dense air to the engine and heavy thick =
air to fight the car through. This is presently being considered by some of=
us over here. Based on discussions held with people with a motor sports ba=
ckground and a frequent need to travel far and fast, the thought is that ve=
ry early in the morning in May is when the fastest trips are made, in Europ=
e, but we will carry out some tests at P********g and see. Whilst the US ha=
s moved ship loads of earth moving equipment to McMurdo Sound to build the =
Antartic polar Highway, perhaps we could get them to grub out a 20km oval s=
o we can establish that very cold air is not a good idea!
Switching from 99/100 RON Octane to 117 Octane Race Gas raises the BHP(sorr=
y, I can't remember the Torque figures) on a tuned RS6 from 550bhp to 600bh=
p, well a little bit more.
