[s-cars] Paul K. - Snow

In all fairness to Ken, I was thinking of his planned trip south from
CT as I was out Sunday night as well. May have been some folly, but
there is a chance that 1) he is driving a Canadian car and really means
kph, and 2) sections of wind-swept highway may have only had several
inches of snow, not actually feet, or 3) there's some exageration
involved. I was comfortable that evening at 50-55 mph, but always
backed down to 3rd gear when approaching and passing other vehicles. It
is true that the vehicle is fun in the snow - my exuberation may have
been tamed a little by the three little ones in the back and not a lot
of driving experience, but comfortable was what caused my grin.

What was that you said about stupid drivers. 75mph in a foot of snow
qualifies as a stupid driver trick, sorry Ken, but you are busted for
brain
fade. Brakes on quattro's work no better than Cherokees. I really hate
to
read about us (list members) doing this bexcause we will trash a
valuable
(parts wise) car much sooner than later.
