Subject: [s-cars] Washer problem solved, new life form found
Thanks for your responses to my slowly leaking wash reservoir. It was
resolved with new clamps on the headlight wash circuit. I replaced all

2 at cylinders, 3 at T, 1 at pump.
I found a strange creature in my reservoir. Had tank sitting full on
kitchen counter for 24 hrs looking for leaks. Everything looked fine
from a
number of angles, etc. Late that night I happened to use a flashlight
to
check for leaks one last time and didn't bother to turn on the lights.
Noticed a shadow in the tank when I shined the light through it.
Discovered a suspended mass of stuff, much like a jellyfish in
appearance,
about the size of a lime and light tan in color. Yuck! Emptied it out
and
cleaned the interior well. No calls were placed to CDC or the food
channel.
What was THAT??
So much for the reassuring filler neck filter screen. Had I run my
washers
with very low fluid I might have clogged my system with 'it'.
