The underlying message is ... we are not sure if the technician is competent
enough to understand how to use a soldering iron properly ... some barley
know how to a fix a car ... we do know they are good with mechanical tools
... so we feel more comfortable if they crimp ... it's a no brainier. They
failed to mention that crimping is also faster.

I'm all for crimping but not because of the claim that it is a better
solution than soldering.
