I didn't think that applied to Lasers, since the FCC doesn't regulate that spectrum? and it's the FDA that governs the laser speed measurement devices, and not the FCC. Although I guess you have to know the law of each state...
Interesting info here, although there is sooo much info on the web...:

Anyone used a VG2 or a black widow?

Marc- nice comments about jammers. I do have a couple...
<<This is worse than junk -- it's illegal junk in many states. But
more seriously, here's the problems (taken straight from their
listings):
* Jams all laser guns at any distance=A0
* Designed for hidden "in grille" install=A0>>
IIRC, they're illegal in ALL states. anything that TRANSMITS on certain
frequencies at minimal power levels is a no no. I'm not hopping on a soap
box here, I've always been curious if you could run one of these and get
away with it. In my daily driving, my V1 sometimes picks up a consistant
medium strength signal from other cars, like when someone comes up behind me
in traffic and sits there for awhile. V1 usually drives me batty after
awhile and I move. anyone run a jammer out there?
<<(B) Designed for hidden "in grill" install.
This means that both the sensor and the jammer sit recessed down
inside the grill, giving you one direction of coverage (straight-on).
This may work if the cop is directly in front of you, but how many
speed traps have you seen where the cop is in the center of the street
vs. parked behind something waiting for you to roll by?>>
I was under the impression that they cannot legally use a speed reading from
such extreme angles. For example, the accuracy of radar is questionable at
approx. 90 degrees from the subject's car. I've never tried to question
this in court (or roadside, doah!). Seems like small town local cops are
the worst abusers of this, parking down the alley and zapping you as you
cruise by. Most traps I've rolled through are usually from directly in
front, or with the cruiser at a very slight angle to traffic.
And the other thing they don't address here is a reading from behind. I've
seen some sneaky NY State troopers use radar just after you've passed their
vehicle. sounds like this blinder laserjammer will only help you up front
as you pointed out.
