Jim,
I have the British Haynes manual from the 100/a6.
They show some pics in there about changing the pollen
filter.  It is on the passenger side of the car -
right where the a/c evaporator is (partly underneath
the windshield wiper trim).  According to the pics
there are a few small hex head bolts on top.  Remove
this and you can pull out a plastic piece that holds
the filter.  I can see these hex head bolts on my
'95.5 s6, but never bothered to see if I could open it
up to see where the filter would be.  Mostly because
the audi parts guy said that there wasn't a pollen
filter in this car.  If the audiworld guy has a part
no. that would be great.
